Florida’s Longboat Key attracts five-star luxury development. Longboat Key a moneyed enclave, neighboring affluent Sarasota is a hot property right now.

Surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay Longboat Key’s residents appreciate the private location. “There is a big demand for the luxury boutique condominium product here,” notes Dan Kaplan, Managing Partner of New York-based developer PMG. Pre-sales were recently launched on PMG’s Sage Longboat Key Residences. The project an ultra-luxury boutique four-story condominium building with 16 private beachfront residences including private elevators and garages is what well-healed buyers want right now. “PMG was very active in the high-end luxury Miami condo market. When the demand there changed to high-end rentals, we moved our development to the strong West Coast market,” Kaplan explains. Floridays Development Co. is the co-developer alongside PMG.

 Today, developers and home builders believe that the future, even after the coronavirus is under control, will involve a lot more work from home, videoconferencing, and remote collaborating.

Society Living believes just that. Known for its large amenities including innovative co-working spaces, it was the ideal building for Kassie Meiler, who moved to Society Las Olas in August. In Las Olas, Ms. Meiler leaves her unit each day to use a conference room for hours of Zoom calls, she said. So far, nothing has been too crowded and she can always find space.

Developer Ryan Shear, managing partner at Property Markets Group, said work space is a central offering of the Society Living brand. It is ideal for residents like Ms. Meiler, who would have otherwise needed to rent a separate office space.

The Tampa Housing Authority has selected the team of Baker Barrios Architects (BBA) and Property Markets Group (PMG) to develop the new master plan for Robles Park Village. This plan includes up to a thousand new homes for families and seniors, as well as a memorial park to honor those buried at Zion Cemetery.
