Recent construction site photos by NyConstructionPhoto are giving us the first real glimpse at planned Midtown supertall, 111 West 57th Street’s alluring bronze and terracotta facade.

We first got a look at these panels this past August when they arrived on site. Only a few panels had been installed at that time, but now a much larger portion of the building is clad in the facade.

The architecture firm on the project, SHoP Architects, wanted to “bring back the quality, materiality and proportions of historic NYC towers,” in their design. These particular materials will take up the east and west facades of the building, and a glass curtain wall with run up along the north, offering views of Central Park.
